Career position openings for Applications Engineers, Software Developers, and Sales Account Managers as of July 2019

The Applications Engineer will provide direct engineering support for Liberty Reach's 3D machine vision products in automotive assembly plants and similar factory environments. The ideal candidate would be detail-oriented and eager to develop technical and interpersonal skills.


  • 4-year engineering degree or 2-year technical degree with work experience


  • Install 3D machine vision systems in auto assembly plants and similar facilities
  • Report to the Project Manager
  • Coordinate work with customers: skilled trades, engineering, and management
  • Document work carefully
  • Resolve technical problems to the delight of the customer
  • Live in southeastern Michigan (Lansing - Brighton - Ann Arbor - Novi)
  • Travel approximately 50%

A strong candidate would also have work experience or education in one or more of the following:

  • Mechanical engineering
  • Electrical engineering
  • Software engineering
  • Sensors, robots, or machine vision
  • Linear algebra
  • Customer support

  • Projective Geometry, Matrix Algebra, Statistical Methods for Pattern Recognition, Multidimensional Optimization Strategies;
  • Model-Predictive Control, Forward and Inverse Robot Kinematics, Kalman Filtering;
  • Optics, camera models and camera calibration, 3D sensing;
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment, PLC programming, robot programming.
